Farmers Day Volunteer Sign-ups
Volunteers are needed to help out with Farmers Day. We will need help cleaning up ahead of time, as well as setting up, running, and cleaning up after the event. This is a great opportunity for new members to get their volunteers hours and a chance for all members to help out the club! CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP TO HELP
We are always looking for volunteers to help us make Farmers Day as great a day as possible. If you are interested in helping out, please click the link above or reach out to Brian Bloome at 215-670-8317 or email farmersday@greatswampfishandgame.com.
Volunteers Are Needed
Great Swamp Fish and Game is doing quite well, overall. Our only downside is getting volunteers to come out and help. We are in need of volunteers for the kitchen, bingo, and mowing the grass/ trimming. Please contact Tony Kulp for the kitchen, Jim Leberknight for bingo and Earl for mowing the grass. Without volunteers to help the club, the board will be forced to contract outside help which, in return, will force us to raise your dues.

Update from the National Deer Association
The Pennsylvania Senate recently amended and passed Pennsylvania House Bill 1300 (HB 1300) – the state’s annual budget bill that determines spending for all state programs. When amending and passing HB 1300, the Senate included a line-item that would transfer $150 million from the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s (PGC) Game Fund to another fund used for Chesapeake Bay restoration. This transfer not only undercuts the PGC’s budget – funded by hunters and excise taxes on hunting and shooting equipment – but it also puts at risk the agency’s eligibility for federal funding in the future.
